In Photos: Kevin Love celebrates second anniversary with wife Kate

In 2022, Kevin Love married her longtime girlfriend Kate Bock in a Great Gatsby-inspired ceremony that was attended by their friends and family. Players such as LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and Darius Garland went to the special event. Former NBA MVP Steve Nash, Klutch Sports Group CEO Rich Paul and his girlfriend Adele were also guests.

The New York Public Library, the venue of the ceremony, had a 1930s look after the Loves asked their guests to wear black and white. Bock wore a custom-made Ralph Lauren white gown while the Miami Heat forward had a classic white suit with black pants. The couple called their wedding day style “timeless and chic.”

Two years later, Love shared on Instagram a few photos of that special day:

The wedding in 2022 capped off a seven-year relationship between Kevin Love and Kate Love. They met in 2015 via a photographer that they previously and separately worked with. The NBA champ with the Cleveland Cavaliers first met his future wife over a cup of coffee. In June 2016, they made their relationship official on Instagram.

Kevin Love proposed to Kate Love a few days after her 33rd birthday

Five years after they made their relationship public on Instagram, Kevin Love proposed to his then-girlfriend Kate Bock. The Cleveland Cavaliers were in New York for a game against the Knicks late in January 2021. As the said city is a location they hold dear, Love popped up the big question there.

The former Sports Illustrated model promptly went on Instagram to announce their engagement:

“Well, this was the best birthday surprise I could have ever imagined. I couldn’t be happier to have been asked to be a Love. 🤍🤍🤍 Heart bursting all day & night.”

Love’s response was just as endearing and grateful:

“Souls tend to go back to who feels like home.

“My Fiancé. The Joy of My Life.”

Last year, the Loves welcomed their baby before Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets. The Heat forward did not join his teammates on their flight to Denver, as he had to be by his wife’s side during the delivery. He was able to catch up with the team after taking a separate flight to Mile High City.

Miami lost the 2023 NBA Finals, but Kevin Love was already a big winner in 2023.
