LeBron James' wife Savannah was very ecstatic when their son Bronny was picked by the LA Lakers in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft. Savannah was one proud mother, who shared the 19-year-old guard's journey on social media.

In a series of stories on her Instagram account, Savannah shared images of her son growing up under his father's care. From playing on the court as a kid to making it to the league as the 55th overall selection in the draft.

LeBron and Bronny are set to make history as the first father-son duo to play in an NBA game. Savannah has always supported his husband's career and it's now time for her to show the same support or even more for their first-born child.

Savannah and LeBron James fully supported Bronny's desire to follow in his father's footsteps to become a basketball player. The couple attended his games from AAU to Sierra Canyon to USC and now it will happen in the NBA, with LeBron and Bronny playing together.

Technically, LeBron is possibly opting out of his contract with the LA Lakers and becoming a free agent. However, the two sides are expected to agree on an extension reportedly worth $162 million for three more years, as per ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

The Lakers had a really good NBA Draft, getting Dalton Knecht in the first round at No. 17. It was a surprise selection, not because it was a reach, but because Knecht fell to them with many draft boards that have him as a Top 10 pick. It's a steal, especially if he contributes right away.

As for Bronny, it would remain to be seen if he'll crack the Lakers rotation immediately or if he'll need to spend some time in the NBA G League. Nevertheless, it's a dream come true for the James Family.

According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, LeBron James and the entire family were in New York for the NBA Draft. They held a dinner party that was attended by some of Bronny's friends and confidants, along with family friends.

James was reportedly emotional and delivered the toast when his son's name was called by Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum.

"After the Lakers delivered their decision, LeBron led the group in a champagne toast to commemorate the occasion, a source told ESPN, and was 'very emotional' considering the weight of the moment," McMenamin wrote.

McMenamin added that the emotion from the family was not just because of the historical weight of the moment but the journey Bronny James had. For those who forgot, the 19-year-old guard suffered a cardiac arrest last year and had to undergo surgery to treat his condition.
