In perhaps the most star-studded World Series in recent history, the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers are drawing the biggest names in music, professional sports and pop culture for their World Series.
The battle of the teams between two of the biggest markets in North American sports, New York and Los Angeles, has certainly lived up to the hype — at least in terms of celebrities attending the games.
During the opening two games of the series in Hollywood, several stars rooting for the Dodgers were present. Jennifer Lawrence, John Legend, Jason Bateman and Bryan Cranston were among the crowd at Chavez Ravine. Ice Cube performed ahead of Game 2, which hyped up the crowd at Dodger Stadium.
As the World Series shifted to New York, several of the city's biggest names showed up at Yankee Stadium. Rapper Fat Joe performed during the pre-game festivities of Game 3. Moreover, Broadway star Leslie Odom Jr. sang the National Anthem. NBA superstar and New York City-native Carmelo Anthony was also present.

WNBA champion Sabrina Ionescu was in the stadium as well alongside NBA star Paul George. Interestingly, Los Angeles County-native George was wearing a Dodgers cap and a royal overall to express his support for his hometown team.
Philadelphia-based rapper Meek Mill was also present in Game 3.
With the Yankess down 3-0, they need to win Game 4 on Tuesday at home to keep their hopes alive. It will be interesting to see which big names show up at Yankee Stadium.
Derek Jeter throws out ceremonial first pitch in Game 3 of World Series
As the World Series shifted to New York City for Game 3, there was no other person that was deemed suitable to throw the coveted ceremonial first pitch. Ahead of the big game, former New York Yankee captain Derek Jeter threw out the first pitch.
On an interesting side note, the team played the original introduction made by the late great Bob Sheppard for Jeter. It marked the first time the intro was played at Yankee Stadium since Sept. 25, 2014, Jeter's final home game.
