Steph Curry celebrated Father's Day on Sunday by sending a message on social media. Curry also shared several images of him with his father, Dell Curry, who inspired him to become an NBA player. Dell and Steph are among the few father-son duos that played in the league.
In a post on his official Instagram stories, Steph composed a simple greeting to all the fathers out there on their special holiday. He's a father to daughters Riley and Ryan, and to son Canon, with his wife Ayesha Curry.
"Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there. Keep being strong for you and yours. Lead with love and generosity. Know that your job is the best job in the world," Steph wrote.

Steph Curry also shared several photos of his father Dell Curry as a tribute for being a great father and example to him. One of the photos was taken recently when Dell was in the Bay Area to cover the Charlotte Hornets against Steph's Golden State Warriors.
Dell was with his grandson Canon in one of the images, as well as with sons Steph and Seth on the golf course. One of the hobbies and bonding activities for the Currys is playing golf, with Steph being the reigning American Century Championship tournament winner.
Other images shared by Steph involved his business ventures like Gentleman's Cut bourbon, as well as a production meeting of sorts. The father and son duo recently launched their official podcast called "Heat Check" available on audible.
Dell Curry wanted Steph Curry to be drafted by the Knicks
It was widely known back in 2009 that Dell Curry wanted the New York Knicks to draft his son Steph Curry out of Davidson. The Knicks were a top big market that could have given the future two-time MVP the platform to succeed although they were not properly run back then.
In the inaugural episode of their "Heat Check" podcast, Dell shared the story of how former Golden State Warriors head coach Don Nelson called him on draft night to inquire about his son. Dell tried to persuade Nelson to not pick Steph, but the Warriors were adamant in selecting him.
"So draft day, we're in New York, I get a call from Don Nelson. He says, 'Dell, you got a problem if we select Steph at No. 7?' I said, 'Yes, I do.' He's like, 'What?' I'm like, 'Yeah, we want him in New York.' We talk for five or 10 minutes. He's like, 'Well if he's there, we're going to take him anyway.' I'm like, 'It's your choice. You asked me for my opinion, I gave it to you,'" Dell said. [H/T NBC Sports Bay Area]
Luckily for the Curry family, things worked out with the Warriors. Steph is now a four-time NBA champion, a two-time NBA MVP and the greatest shooter the game has ever seen.
