With the second pick in the 2024 NBA draft, the Washington Wizards selected a seven-footer in Alex Sarr. On Tuesday night, the team is slated to take the floor in Las Vegas for its third matchup of the Summer League.

The Wizards will take on the Portland Trail Blazers, and Sarr is expected to be in the lineup. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time and will air on NBA TV.

This matchup is sure to garner a lot of attention as it features two of the top center prospects from this year's draft. Along with Alex Sarr being in action, so will Donovan Clingan. The former UConn big man was also a lottery pick, falling to the Blazers at No. 7.

Before being drafted second overall by the Wizards, Sarr spent the past year playing professionally in Australia. In 24 games for Perth, he averaged 9.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals.

Sarr wowed many as a prospect with his elite athleticism for his size. Moving forward, he'll be joining forces with Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole as Washington looks to change the trajectory of the franchise.

How has Alex Sarr played in NBA Summer League so far?

There have been some critiques about Alex Sarr's play in the Summer League, but the No. 2 pick has shown nice flashes for the Washington Wizards. He's managed to fill out the stat sheet and be productive on both ends of the floor.

Sarr made his Summer League debut on July 12 against the Atlanta Hawks. This was one of the more notable matchups, as it featured both of the top picks from the draft. In his showdown with No. 1 pick Zaccharie Risacher, Sarr posted a stat line of 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and four blocks.

In his second Summer League outing, Sarr faced off against another top pick in his class. He crossed paths with the Houston Rockets and Las Vegas standout Reed Sheppard. Sarr's production took a slight dip in this game, finishing with eight points, four rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

Tuesday night is by far going to be Sarr's biggest test in the Summer League. Donovan Clingan is another highly skilled center prospect who is trying to show his team made the right choice on draft night. Given his size and frame, Sarr is going to have to rely heavily on his speed and quickness in a matchup like this.
