Former No. 1 pick Anthony Davis, who has struggled with injuries for most of his career, is reportedly dealing with a foot ailment. However, he has only missed one of the Lakers' 20 games this season. Davis has been labeled as questionable for at least half of those games, yet he's been mostly expected to play.
The game vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves will be on the back end of a back-to-back set, and the big man for Lakers will be available to play tonight.
The Lakers will need him vs. Anthony Edwards' team, as they will be without Austin Reaves (pelvis), D'Angelo Russell (illness), Cam Reddish (illness), Jaxson Hayes (ankle), Christian Wood (knee), and Jarred Vanderbilt (foot).
Davis will have the formidable challenge of matching up vs. a bruising forward like Julius Randle -- his former teammate with the New Orleans Pelicans -- and Rudy Gobert in the road game in Minnesota.

Anthony Davis and the LA Lakers survived a thriller against the Utah Jazz with a win on Sunday. Jazz's coach Will Hardy inexplicably called a timeout when Collin Sexton was about to score a game-winning basket. Then, the Lakers iced the game from the free-throw line.
Davis was outstanding, finishing with 33 points on 13 of 25 from the floor, adding 11 rebounds, two steals, one block, and two 3-pointers in 38 minutes. Davis carried a "probable" designation into the contest.
Anthony Davis' season so far
As expected, Anthony Davis has been the Lakers' offensive catalyst. JJ Redick has made sure to make him the focal point of the offense, allowing LeBron James to take a step back.
Through his first 19 appearances this season, Davis has averaged 28.6 points per game. He also averages 11.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.0 blocks per contest.
The Lakers (12-8) are placed sixth in the Western Conference, dominating subpar teams but struggling against contenders for the most part. Needless to say, Davis will be crucial to this team's success -- or lack thereof -- going forward.
