Anthony Davis will play Saturday against the Sacramento Kings. The LA Lakers All-Star center is not on the team's injury report for this back-to-back contest. LA faced Phoenix on Friday. Davis has tipped off this season with two MVP-caliber outings.

Against the Timberwolves on opening night, he went off for 36 points and 16 rebounds, leading the Lakers to a 110-103 win. Davis dropped 35 points and eight rebounds against the Suns in a 123-116 comeback, helping LA erase a 22-point deficit.

The Lakers star has been in great shape since February 2023, ensuring he's been available and healthy over this stretch. Davis has been the architect of the Lakers' 2-0 start, and he will hope to continue leading the team in the right direction against the Kings.

He's personally struggled against them over the past five matchups, which the Lakers have lost. With JJ Redick finding ways to optimize Anthony Davis' usage, the 2021 NBA champion and Lakers will hope they can end Sacramento's juggernaut.

Anthony Davis stats vs. Sacramento Kings

The Kings haven't been a favorable matchup for Anthony Davis. In 32 games against the Lakers' division rivals, Davis has averaged 21.4 points and 9.4 rebounds. He's been sound defensively, recording 1.3 steals and 2.7 blocks per game.

This past season, in four outings against the Kings, Davis managed only 18.8 ppg. He added 11.5 rpg, 2.3 spg and 2.3 bpg, but that didn't have much impact on the results. Davis shot only 41.9%. He was seemingly bothered by Domantas Sabonis' size in the paint as he has a more lanky frame compared to the Latvian big man.
