All eyes will be on Anthony Edwards as the Minnesota Timberwolves continue their road trip with a preseason matchup against the Chicago Bulls at the United Center on Wednesday (Oct. 16). Minnesota comes off a 115-110 loss against the New York Knicks despite Edwards' 31-point explosion at the Madison Square Garden. The guard had two rebounds and three assists in the 26 minutes he was on the floor.
Come Wednesday, Edwards is expected to play against the Bulls. The Timberwolves play their last preseason game at home against the Denver Nuggets and this will be a good chance to test out their new-look lineup featuring Julius Randle who is also expected to return to action after a season-ending shoulder injury last season. Edwards and Randle are expected to be the duo doing the bulk of the work on offense this season.
Whether Anthony Edwards will play the same minutes as the last game is interesting to see. At the time of writing, the guard has not been mentioned in any injury reports leading up to the game.

Anthony Edwards says he learned the most from Steph Curry during their time together on Team USA
Anthony Edwards had a solid NBA 2023-24 season taking the Timberwolves deep into the playoffs. Later, he linked up with superstars LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Kevin Durant for the 2024 Olympics. Earlier, he revealed he learned the most from the Golden State Warriors guard during their time together on Team USA.
"I took Bron's pre-game routine, but Steph just playing without the ball. So like, the last few days we've been playing five-on-five, I just be cutting, getting out the way and I get easy shots. I think I learned the most from Steph."
Edwards is already regarded as one of the players set to be the face of the post-James-KD-Curry era. If he does apply what he learned from his teammates, then he will be one of the more lethal players as Minnesota looks to make another successful run this season. He set the tone during the preseason matchup against NY when he played like it was a regular season game.
Much depends on Anthony Edwards elevating his game to another level this season. If he finds the right synergy with Randle, and continues his pick-and-roll dominance with 3x DPOY Rudy Gobert, the T-Wolves, like last season will be bonafide title contenders despite a stacked West.
