Giannis Antetokounmpo is probable to play against the Boston Celtics on Monday. He's had the same status for the Milwaukee Bucks' first three games. Giannis is dealing with a right patella tendinitis issue. It's a minor knee ailment, which the Bucks are monitoring for their superstar player.

However, Giannis has played in every game and is likely to suit up for his fourth consecutive outing, even though it's a back-to-back. The Bucks are off to a 1-2 start after suffering consecutive upset losses against the Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets.

They may need Giannis Antetokounmpo active even if he's pushing through injury, especially against the defending champions. It would be a statement win for Milwaukee if they can pull off a shocker after struggling in their opening two games.

Giannis has played well, though. In three games, he is averaging 28.3 points, 12.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists, shooting 66.7%. He's averaging 14.3 free-throw attempts per game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo stats vs. Boston Celtics

Giannis Antetokounmpo 22.2 ppg, 8.9 rpg and 4.4 apg in 35 career games against the Bucks' conference rivals Celtics. He's 18-17 against the defending champions. As good as Boston is, it could get difficult for it to contain Giannis during this matchup.

Giannis makes the Bucks arguably the best contender to beat the Celtics in the East, despite Milwaukee's inferior run and recent losses to Jayson Tatum and Co. The Bucks will hope he can produce an outworldly performance and help them overshadow their rugged start to the year.
