Reigning NBA Cup MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is on the injury report ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks' marquee clash against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He's listed as probable for a right patella tendinopathy leading up to Friday's contest. Giannis has dealt with the ailment for the better part of the season.

However, it's not limited him as much, and he's likely to play again. Giannis Antetokounmpo has played all but two games this season, averaging a league-high 32.7 points, 11.6 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.6 blocks, shooting 61.4%. He's been integral to the Bucks' bounce back despite carrying minor injury knocks throughout his 23 outings.

The Bucks will look to count on him again as they enter the contest against the Cavaliers shorthanded, with Damian Lillard sidelined with a right calf strain.

Giannis Antetokounmpo stats vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

Giannis Antetokounmpo has averaged 25.6 ppg, 9.9 rpg and 5.0 apg in 34 appearances against the Cleveland Cavaliers, boasting a 17-17 record. The Bucks nearly won against the Cavaliers when they locked horns again on Nov. 4. However, they fell short after several miscues in the clutch. Damian Lillard had 36 points in that loss, which ended 116-114.

The Bucks will have Khris Middleton available this time. He's yet to hit the ground running after his injury comeback, and this could be an ideal opportunity for him to find his grove against the best team in the league.

The Bucks also have significant momentum leading up to this clash. Since starting 2-8, they have gone on a 12-3 run, including the NBA Cup Final win over the OKC Thunder.
