Larry Nance Jr. was part of the trade that will send Dejounte Murray to the New Orleans Pelicans. The Nance Family will be packing their bags to Atlanta as part of the deal, with Hailey Nance hilariously calling out Pelicans executive vice president of basketball operations David Griffin.

In a post on her official X account, Hailey called his husband getting traded before midnight "dirty work." It was due to Larry being unable to help put their kids to sleep because he was on the phone speaking to people about what was going to happen next.

"Getting traded right before kids bedtime is dirty work.. putting two fussy kids to bed by myself? Is Griff trying to kill me?" Hailey wrote.

Larry Nance Jr. and his family have been living in New Orleans since the Pelicans acquired him via trade from the Portland Trail Blazers in February 2022. Nance has been a vital part of the Pelicans the past season and a half, but his time with the franchise is now over.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pelicans are trading Nance and Dyson Daniels to the Atlanta Hawks along with two first-round picks. One of the two picks is the 2025 first-round pick by the LA Lakers from the Anthony Davis trade.

The other one is a 2027 first-round selection coming from either the Pelicans or Milwaukee Bucks, whichever is the less favorable. It was a shocking trade considering Dejounte Murray is just entering the first year of a four-year, $120 million extension.

Larry Nance Jr. played four seasons at Wyoming before he entered the NBA back in 2015. The LA Lakers selected him with the No. 27 pick and was a role player in his two-and-a-half seasons there. He was acquired by the Cleveland Cavaliers midway through the 2017-18 season.

In three and a half years in Cleveland, Nance made the NBA Finals once in 2018 in LeBron James' final season there. It was a homecoming for Nance, who was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. His father, Larry Nance Sr., played seven seasons in Cleveland.

The Portland Trail Blazers acquired him in the summer of 2021, but only lasted there midseason when the New Orleans Pelicans traded for him at the deadline. He was in New Orleans for two-and-a-half seasons, helping and mentoring a young Zion Williamson.

Now that he's on the Atlanta Hawks, he'll provide veteran leadership for players such as Trae Young and Jalen Johnson. The Hawks are likely bringing him off the bench and possibly playing small ball center when needed. Nance has been a really good role player, providing hustle, energy and defense.
