Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray is uncertain of playing in Wednesday's Christmas Day contest against the Phoenix Suns. The 2023 NBA champion also missed Monday's contest against Kevin Durant and Co. However, he's in contention to return, carrying a questionable status. Murray could be a game-time decision.

He's dealing with a right ankle sprain. The Nuggets seemed to have taken a caution with his injury on Monday as they were playing on the second night of back-to-back. With the Christmas Day skirmish right around the corner, Denver preferred to rest Murray so he could play on Wednesday without any hassle.

He's returning to form after a slow start, averaging 26.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.7 assists on 45/39/86 splits in his past three games. Murray is averaging 19.1 ppg, 4.1 rpg and 6.1 apg, shooting 43.0%, including 34.6% from 3 on the season.

Amid Jamal Murray's recent surge, Denver has improved to 16-11 and five wins in six games.
