This marks the veteran forward’s second suspension of the season as he was previously suspended for seven games due to conduct deemed detrimental to the team.

Butler has publicly expressed his desire to be traded and no longer wishes to continue playing for the Heat. In response, the franchise has confirmed its willingness to entertain trade offers for the 6-foot-7 forward. With the Feb. 7 trade deadline approaching, there is a strong possibility that Butler could be moved.

Earlier this month, Jimmy Butler made a candid statement, declaring that he no longer finds joy in playing basketball for the Miami Heat.

"I want to see me getting my joy back playing basketball," Butler said "Wherever that may be, we'll find out here pretty soon."

"I'm happy here off the court, but I want to be back to somewhat dominant, I want to hoop and I want to help this team win, and right now I'm not doing it."

The former Philadelphia 76ers star was in action during the Heat's 116-107 loss against the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday. He played 27 minutes and finished with 13 points, four rebounds and eight assists while shooting 4 of 9 from the field, including 1 of 1 from 3-point range.
