Considering Joel Embiid’s history with foot problems, Philadelphia 76ers supporters will be concerned with the latest injury.
Embiid has been performing at a high level despite having a foot ailment for a number of weeks. He is averaging 33.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game and is the driving force behind the 76ers’ 3rd position in the Eastern Conference this season.
According to ESPN, Embiid's status for tonight's game is questionable, given his ongoing foot ailment. Despite the concerns, he has played in the last five games. Hence, fans can expect Embiid to feature against the Cleveland Cavaliers as well.
The Philadelphia 76ers are thoroughly dependent on Joel Embiid. They look like championship contenders and have produced multiple impressive wins this season already. With both Embiid and James Harden firing, the 76ers are capable of delivering against any team.

Joel Embiid thinks he can play through latest foot injury
Embiid missed three games in early January due to a foot ailment. However, he returned and scored 36 points and had 11 assists against the Detroit Pistons. Since then, Embiid has gone from strength to strength and has improved his claim to the NBA MVP award this season.
Embiid claimed that he would not have been able to play if the foot injury was as serious as the one he suffered last season:
“Based on when it happened I don’t think I would have been able to play. still not fully [healthy], but that’s just something you just got to manage. Over time it’s gonna be fine.
"I just want to play. Doesn’t matter if I’m hurt or not. If I can walk I want to play. Over the past few seasons, since I got to the league — I missed my first, really three seasons. So, I just want to be on the court as much as possible and enjoy it.”
While having the 28-year old fully healthy is the aim, fans will be hoping Joel Embiid is better able to judge his limits. Embiid surely believes he only needs to manage the injury:
“[It feels like] the one that I had earlier in the year landing on someone’s foot. I don’t know if I did the same thing but it’s about the same thing so just have to manage it. Basically go based on pain and stuff.”
Hopefully Joel Embiid is right about the extent of the problem and doesn't come to regret playing with an injury.
