Karl-Anthony Towns has been a key figure for the New York Knicks over the first half of the season but Tom Thibodeau's team could be without their All-Star center for Wednesday's game. Towns is listed as questionable for the game against the Toronto Raptors due to a knee injury and is doubtful to start the game at Madison Square Garden.

Towns exited the game against the Bulls on Saturday after taking a hard hit from Nikola Vucevic while driving to the hoop late in the fourth quarter. The 7-footer was seen limping after the foul and seemed to be in pain when walking into the locker room. The incident took place with under two minutes left in the final quarter and the Knicks trailing by 15 points.

New York hosted the Orlando Magic on Monday with Karl-Anthony Towns not featuring for the home team due to an injury.

Towns struggled with knee issues earlier in the season as well as missing two games due to the injury. Overall, he has played in 34 of the team's 37 regular season games and is averaging 34.6 minutes per game.

When healthy, Towns has proven himself to be one of the most effective big men in the league. The four-time All-Star and former Rookie of the Year leads the NBA with an incredible 14.0 rpg and ranks 11th with 25.3 ppg. Towns is also chipping in with 3.4 apg, 0.9 spg and 0.9 bpg.

Following their home game against Toronto, the Knicks face a difficult run of games with the OKC Thunder, Milwaukee Bucks, Detroit Piston and Eastern Conference rivals the Philadelphia 76ers.

The New York Knicks have struggled of late, losing three consecutive games over the last week. They will be hoping to have their starting center back in the lineup as soon as possible.

Saturday's matchup between the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls at the Union Center was a special occasion with both teams honoring legendary NBA guard Derrick Rose who retired before the season started.

On a memorable night for both fan bases (Rose spent four seasons with the Knicks), Karl-Anthony Towns came out firing and had arguably his best performance of the season. The versatile center finished with a game-high 44 points and 16 rebounds. He also recorded five assists and a steal.

Despite a strong outing from their talented star, the Knicks would go on to lose the game 139-126 and drop to a 24-12 record on the season.
