The Americans were pushed against the wall when they faced the young team on July 20 in an exhibition game. They needed LeBron James to take over the game and give them the dramatic 101-100 win in London. Durant's return gives Team USA more firepower, but his health remains an important topic after missing the exhibition games in Abu Dhabi and London.

The veteran is playing South Sudan in Team USA's second matchup in Group C after not being included on the injury report for today's game. Following an impressive performance against Serbia, where he scored 23 points off the bench, he's ready to keep playing at a high level and get Team USA closer to the knockout stages.

"Kevin Durant, my God," Goorjian said. "You know, what's been publicized. You look at tonight, [Jayson] Tatum didn't play, [Joel] Embiid played 10 minutes. They're that deep. ... Serbia or Canada is who everybody here is talking about for [which country] they think could get the silver medal, and they dominated [Serbia] today."

Goorjian's Australia is 1-1 in the Olympics. After beating Spain 92-80, the Boomers lost 93-83 to Canada.
