The Milwaukee Bucks are heading into Friday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers fresh off winning the Emirates NBA Cup on Tuesday. Khris Middleton is listed as probable alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo; however, Middleton's availability will be a game-time decision. Damian Lillard has been ruled out due to a right calf strain.
The fitness of Middleton remains a concern for the Bucks. He missed the NBA Cup finals against the OKC Thunder due to a non-COVID illness. Although he played four games before that, he struggled to make an impact, raising questions about his readiness.
During the four-game period, Khris Middleton averaged 7.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.8 assists.
He admitted his performance was below his standards but expressed confidence in his ability to improve.

“I was bad," Middleton said after scoring six points on Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks. "It wasn't you know up to my standards, but rebound from it, learn from it. You watch film, you figure out how to be better. You move on from it. Understanding that you're not going to have a great day every game and we’re human. Just keep playing."
It's worth noting that Middleton recently returned from a lengthy absence following bilateral ankle surgery. His recovery took longer than anticipated due to the delicate nature of the issue.
Khris Middleton stat’s vs Cleveland Cavaliers
Khris Middleton has played against the Cavs 32 times in his career for two different teams: the Bucks and Detroit Pistons, mostly in a Milwaukee jersey.
He has averaged 15.2 points, 4.2 assists and 4.2 rebounds, boasting an 18-14 record. His highest scoring game against the Cavs was 30 points in the 2018 season.
This will be the third meeting between these Eastern Conference rivals, and Middleton's first this season. Last year, he played in all four games against the Cavaliers, with the Bucks winning two.
What to expect from Milwaukee Bucks vs Cleveland Cavaliers?
As the Bucks enter the game fresh off their NBA Cup glory, the strategic management of the squad by Doc Rivers will be crucial during the hectic festive phase and to also solidify his managerial credentials further this season.
With Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard frequently appearing on the injury report, the upcoming matchups will be a huge test of the team's resilience and depth. However, this situation allows other players, like Khris Middleton, to step up and make a significant impact. The road ahead is tough but with careful management and perhaps a touch of luck, the Bucks can keep their playoff and NBA title hopes alive.
