Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors will miss tonight's game against the Utah Jazz, their second game in a back-to-back. Due to injury management, Thompson will miss tonight's action and remain on the bench as his team takes on the Jazz.
Thompson and the Warriors played last night and won against the Charlotte Hornets. After the game, the shooting guard was placed as "questionable" ahead of tonight's bout. Klay seemed ready to play against Utah, however, and the decision for him not to play was on the coaching staff, who have been cautious the entire season.
Thompson isn't the only player to miss a game against the Jazz. Andrew Wiggins. JaMychal Green and Steph Curry are still out and won't see any action. Additionally, Donte DiVincenzo and Draymond Green are listed as questionable for different day-to-day injuries.

DiVincenzo has right knee soreness, while Green has right foot soreness.
In their win against the Hornets, Thompson played a huge role. He had 29 points, five rebounds and four assists. The five-time All-star shot 45.5% from the field and 41.7% from beyond the arc. Jordan Poole added 24 points to capture the win and was fiery from the charity stipe, with 83.3% of his shots falling down.
Draymond flirted with a double-double. He posted nine points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while also dishing out five assists.
Can Klay Thompson carry the Warriors while Steph Curry is out?
The Warriors have started the season slowly. Due to this, the team had to climb up the rankings and rely heavily on Steph Curry to carry them into the playoff picture. However, that won't be happening anytime soon, as the two-time MVP is out for at least two weeks due to a labral injury to his left shoulder.
It's up to Klay Thompson to do more of the heavy lifting for Golden State. Since then, he's been able to step up big time and provide the team's demands on a high level. Since Curry's injury, Thompson has had two straight games with 20 or more points, one on Christmas Day and one during their previous game.
It will take more than Thompson to bring the Warriors back to relevancy and be able to defend their title properly.
