Dallas Mavericks star point guard Kyrie Irving missed their last game on Saturday versus Memphis due to right foot soreness. It now looks like Irving is in danger of missing the Mavs’ rematch versus the Grizzlies on Monday night. This comes as Irving is listed as questionable to play.
Irving once again joins co-star Luka Doncic on the injury report. Doncic has already been ruled out for Monday’s game due to a left thigh strain, which marks his second straight game on the sidelines.
Injuries to Dallas’ stars have come at a bad time. The Mavs are 34-34 and eighth in the West. They are still fighting to secure a playoff spot in the crowded Western Conference. Despite being in a play-in position, Dallas is just one game ahead of the 11th-placed LA Lakers (33-35). This means that the Mavs are in real danger of missing the play-in entirely.
