LaMelo Ball is unavailable for the Charlotte Hornets’ game against the Chicago Bulls on Monday. The star point guard was listed as "doubtful" on the team's injury report earlier due to soreness in his left ankle and right wrist. These issues also kept Ball out of the Hornets' previous matchup against the OKC Thunder on Saturday.

Ball last took the court during Charlotte's narrow 113-110 loss to the Washington Wizards on Thursday. As has been the case throughout this season, Ball delivered a strong individual performance despite the team’s defeat.

In 31 minutes of action, the dynamic guard tallied 31 points on 12 of 27 shooting, including 4 of 13 from beyond the arc. He also contributed six rebounds, six assists and one steal in an all-around effort.

LaMelo Ball is enjoying the best season of his career so far, but his availability has been a recurring issue. The one-time All-Star has already missed nine games this season, appearing in 22 of the Hornets’ 31 matchups.

When on the court, LaMelo has consistently impressed with his exceptional skill set and dynamic play. The former Los Angeles Ballers standout is averaging a career-high 30.1 points per game on 42.5% shooting from the field, including 34.6% from beyond the arc. He also contributes 5.3 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

Despite his stellar individual performance, the Hornets have struggled to capitalize on his efforts, currently sitting 13th in the Eastern Conference standings with a disappointing 7-24 record.
