The LA Lakers will play LeBron James when they take the floor against the stern Atlanta Hawks at the State Farm Arena on Friday (Dec. 6). The 4x NBA champion who hasn't missed a single game this season for LA was listed in the team's latest updated injury report.
James has been listed as available after being listed as questionable with left foot soreness, and with LeBron on the floor the Lakers hope to end their dismal four-game road trip with a win. James' admittance to his offensive struggles aside, LA is also dealing with the absence of role players and lack of form with their current available crop of players, including Anthony Davis. Should the 39-year-old indeed be rested, breaking the possibility of suiting up all 82 games this season, the Lakers will need more production from the rest of the roster.

LeBron James seconds JJ Redick's 'embarrassing' comment, admits to Lakers needing to step up after abysmal loss to the Miami Heat
Speaking to the media in the aftermath of LA's dismal loss to the Heat, LeBron James shielded the coaches from criticism. While at it, he asked for more from his team as they continue to slip the rungs in a stacked Western Conference.
“It’s not on the coaches. It’s definitely on us, for sure. I don’t know. We got to figure it out because it’s embarrassing, for sure. I think we squash it, for sure. And just see when you’re individually f***ing up and you’re trying to rely on everybody else to cover for you, I think it starts on individuals first. All of us have to take accountability. It’s great to see it on film and address it right there — right then and there. And then go from there."
James headed into the Miami game on the back of 20 missed 3s, a drought he finally broke with a three-pointer against the Heat. He was the lone bright spot with 29 points, five rebounds, and eight assists. But the efforts went in vain as the Lakers were handed their worst loss of the season.
With LeBron James likely to sit out on Friday, it remains to be seen if LA can bounce back from adversity. For now, it's wait and watch as the seasoned veteran looks to lead his side back to winning ways.
