Mark Cuban, the outgoing owner of the Dallas Mavericks, has been in the headlines quite a bit recently thanks to his blockbuster trade for Kyrie Irving. With the Dallas Mavericks dominating basketball headlines as of late, many are wondering about the personal life of owner Mark Cuban.
Cuban has been married to his wife Tiffany Stewart since 1997, when the two met at a gym in Dallas. There was a lot of speculation about whether they would marry after dating for three years, which included the time Cuban sold his company and became a billionaire. After initially appearing hesitant to 'pop the question,' the couple married in 2002.
They have three children together, two daughters and a son, whom they try to raise as normally as possible. Instead of spoiling them, Cuban and his wife try to instill working-class values in them. Back in 2014, he told Insider about their parenting style:
"I’m not the dad that comes home with a ton of presents. I am the dad that says, ‘Pick that up. Take that; put it in the sink. No, you have to earn that. I want them to recognize that the only thing special about themselves is what they make for themselves.”

"They have to be themselves. They can’t be Mark Cuban’s or Tiffany Cuban’s son or daughter. They have to be adults and they have to carry their own weight … I didn’t want them to have a sense of entitlement. I want them to be like themselves."
Mark Cuban's run as owner of the Dallas Mavericks
With the recent Kyrie Irving trade, Mark Cuban has set the Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic up for a strong second half of the season. With the team currently sitting in fourth place in a stacked Western Conference, Irving will provide a huge spark for the team.
After making the blockbuster trade, Cuban spoke to ABC Dallas, saying:
“The opportunity to get another player like Kyrie that’s transcendental . . . this would give us the best backcourt in the NBA. We have probably the best ball-handler in Luka, and now we feel like we have the second-best, as well.”
“That [addition] creates unique opportunities, puts a lot of pressure on the defense, allows us to rest Luka more when Kyrie’s on the court. We really think it’s gonna be good for us.”
Since Irving joined the team, the Mavericks have won two straight. In his debut game with the team, he dropped 24 points on 50% shooting from beyond the arc. Two days later, as the Mavericks beat the Sacramento Kings, he dropped a double-double with 25 points and 10 assists.
As the team anxiously awaits the return of Luka Doncic, who has been sidelined with a right heel contusion, they find themselves in a good spot. Once Doncic returns to the floor, the dynamic duo assembled by Mark Cuban seems poised for a big second half of the season.
