Paolo Banchero is set to make his much-awaited return during the Orlando Magic's matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday. The young forward has been cleared to play and, barring any last-minute setbacks, will suit up to lead the Magic against their Eastern Conference rivals.

Banchero missed Orlando's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday, which was the first of a back-to-back. However, the former Duke standout is available for the second game of the set.

Sidelined since Oct. 30 due to a right oblique tear, Banchero missed 34 consecutive games. Now fully recovered, the former No. 1 pick is eager to showcase his talents on the court once again and, most importantly, contribute to the Magic's success in winning games.

"It's amazing, really. Thinking back to when I first went down, it was just those four games, and then after that they were rolling," Banchero said on Thursday.

Orlando managed surprisingly well during Paolo Banchero's absence, exceeding expectations. Under Jamahl Mosley’s leadership, the team currently holds the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference standings with a 22-17 record through 39 games.

Banchero praised his teammates for stepping up in his absence, commending their effort and high-level play that contributed to the team’s success.

"Franz was carrying (the team) and then he went down. I think that was the true test, just for our team, our two main guys being out. And guys stepped up even more," the Magic forward continued.

"It's really encouraging for guys who are out, seeing their teammates step up, get wins, still play the right way, and just uphold that standard that we set at the start of the season. It's really encouraging and it just makes you excited for when we get back to full strength."
