Paul George is probable to play against his former team, the LA Clippers, on Wednesday. The Philadelphia 76ers star forward made his season debut Monday against the Phoenix Suns after missing the first five games with a knee injury he suffered during preseason. George remains on the injury report because of the same ailment.
However, a probable status means he's likely to play rather than sit this game out. It's a marquee game for him and the NBA world, as it marks his first game back against LA at its new home, the Intuit Dome. George was one of the headliners at the groundbreaking ceremony alongside former co-star Kawhi Leonard three years ago.
The Clippers hoped his first game there would be with them, but things took a U-turn on that last summer after the two parties couldn't agree to a deal in free agency.

Paul George reacts to his Intuit Dome debut
Paul George will make his Intuit Dome debut in unexpected circumstances. For the past three years, it was almost certain that he would be with the LA Clippers when that happens. However, he's going there as an opponent in his first game at LA's new venue. He spoke about his return to LA and more on his show, "Podcast P," in the latest episode released Monday, saying:
"It's going to be fun. I'm looking forward to it. It's going to be dope. I've heard so much about people that have played in Intuit, and I'm excited to have that opportunity to play there. I'm looking forward to the wall; there's been a lot of good reactions to it."
The Clippers wall is a section where only home fans are seated and something opposing players have to face while shooting free throws in the second half. George will go up against that on Wednesday if he plays. It remains to be seen what kind of reception he gets from the fans.
As for the Clippers, they are reportedly going to give him a video tribute.
