Steph Curry will play on Friday against the Cleveland Cavaliers as the Golden State Warriors chase an 8-1 start with a sixth consecutive win. Curry has made a remarkable return from a three-game injury absence. He scored 24 in his first game back against the Washington Wizards on Monday and 27 against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, leading the Warriors to impressive wins.

He was dealing with an ankle injury he sustained against the Clippers on Oct. 27. The Warriors face a stern test against the unbeaten Cavaliers, who are 9-0 this season. However, barring a surprise loss in LA, the Warriors have been clinical. This game could be close.

The Cavaliers have homecourt advantage, but Curry knows something about winning in Cleveland after battling the team in four straight finals.

Steph Curry stats vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

Steph Curry has averaged 27.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists against the Cleveland Cavaliers in 23 games, shooting 50.9%, including 48/.1% from 3-point range. He holds a 16-7 record against the Cavs. However, Curry and the Warriors couldn't get a win in their season series last year.

Curry was excellent, though. He had 28 points on seven 3s on Nov. 5, 2023, in a 115-104 loss and 30 points in a 118-110 loss on Nov. 11, 2023.

It could be a high-scoring affair between the teams as the Cavaliers are the No. 1 offense with a 122.1 rating, and the Warriors are third with a 119.3 rating. There's a familiar face for Steve Kerr and his men on the other side as former Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson is leading the Cavaliers this season.

He's been key to the Cavaliers' success, especially offensively.

How to watch Steph Curry in action vs. Cleveland Cavaliers?

NBA Sports Bay Area and FanDuel Sports Network Ohio will provide local coverage of the Warriors-Cavaliers game at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Viewers outside the local regions can catch live action online via NBA League Pass. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. EST.

The Cavaliers are -4.5 favorites with a -185 money line. Homecourt advantage and an unbeaten record have the oddsmakers swinging toward Cleveland to win this contest.

Nevertheless, it could be a close, considering how clinical both teams have been.
