Steph Curry is out for Wednesday's marquee matchup between the Golden State Warriors and OKC Thunder. The two-time NBA MVP was initially listed as questionable but was later downgraded to out, citing bilateral knee patellofemoral pain, which has caused patella soreness in both knees.
Curry has played 10 consecutive games after missing three straight, citing an ankle injury between Oct. 27 and Oct. 30. It's also a high-stakes match on national TV against the No. 1 team in the West, the Thunder, whom the 12-5 Warriors trail by a game in second.

He scored 36 points, five rebounds, seven assists, one steal and a block in a 127-116 win. Curry shot 56.5%, including 7 of 13 from 3. The Warriors won 127-116 behind his heroics. The Thunder lost Chet Holmgren to injury early in the contest and never recovered from his absence.
With the Thunder also missing backup center Isaiah Hartenstein, the Warriors exploited their lack of size. Jonathan Kuminga added 20 points. De'Anthony Melton and Andrew Wiggins combined to score 37 points.
The Warriors did a tremendous job limiting Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to only 24 points on 6 of 17 shots.
Steph Curry and Warriors in a mini-slump
After an excellent start to the season, the Warriors have hit a mini-slump lately. They have lost their last two consecutive games against weaker opponents in the San Antonio Spurs and Brooklyn Nets.
Steph Curry struggled heavily against the Spurs, tallying only 14 points on 5 of 16 shots in a 104-94 loss. Meanwhile, he had a better outing against the Nets, producing 28 points and seven assists on 8 of 17 shots, but the rest of the team struggled, leading to a 128-120 loss.
In both games, the Warriors gave up a 15+ points lead. The OKC Thunder are a tougher challenge, so the rest of the group must be on their toes if they find another favorable situation early in the contest, especially in Curry's absence.
