In Curry's absence, Golden State fell 102-92, dropping to 15-15 for the season.

Following the Christmas Day game against the Lakers, the two-time league MVP spoke about the challenges of managing lingering injuries, especially as he navigates his 16th season in the NBA.

"I know when the knee stuff popped up that was part of the conversation," Curry said. "Of course, still dealing with it in some capacity."

"Look at this day as the games matter is more so just trying to get over the hump to have something to feel good about and you want o be a part of that. So yeah, it’s part of the conversation for sure. But you still have to consider miles I have and where I’m at in my career you got to still be smart." he added.

The four-time champion delivered a vintage performance in his last outing, but his scoring outburst wasn’t enough to secure a win for the Warriors. Curry put up an impressive 38 points against the Lakers, but his heroics fell short as Golden State suffered a narrow 115-113 loss.

Steph Curry has played in 24 of the Warriors' 30 games this season, having missed six due to injuries.
