Trae Young is set to lead the Atlanta Hawks in their highly anticipated NBA Cup semifinal showdown against the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday. The star point guard is listed as "probable" on the team’s injury report due to right Achilles tendinitis.
Similarly, before the quarterfinal against the New York Knicks, Young was also listed as "probable" but was later upgraded to "available" just before tip off.
Young played a pivotal role in the Hawks’ 108-100 victory over the Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday. The three-time All-Star spearheaded a second-half comeback, finishing with an impressive stat line of 22 points, five rebounds and 11 assists in 36 minutes.

The Bucks are fully aware of the threat Young poses, as his ability to impact the game in multiple ways makes him a key player. Known for his exceptional playmaking, Young currently leads the league in assists and has been instrumental in the Hawks’ success this season.
Ahead of the semifinal, Milwaukee coach Doc Rivers praised Young’s skill and highlighted how the Hawks have rallied behind their star point guard, noting the team’s chemistry and love for playing alongside him.
"He's earned the trust of his players," Rivers said on Friday. "This team likes playing with him. That's obvious. I couldn't say that in the past, but now they love playing with him."
For the season, Young is averaging 21.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 12.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
