Tyler Herro is expected to suit up for the Miami Heat when they host the Orlando Magic at the Kaseya Center on Monday. The guard comes off a solid 25-point performance studded with eight assists against the Brooklyn Nets and will be the catalyst for the Heat offense when they play the seventh-seeded Magic.
Herro is listed in the injury report with right groin tightness but has been deemed available ahead of the clash. This will be the fourth meetup between both sides, with Miami keen to make up for the 2-1 trail. Other names in the report include Josh Richardson (right heel inflammation) and Dru Smith (left Achilles surgery) both ruled out of the contest.
Heat HC wants Tyler Herro to be an All-Star
Speaking to the media after the win over the Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra made his feelings clear on Tyler Herro's All-Star status.

“That’s just not my style, but I do think Tyler should be an All-Star. His play speaks for itself. It’s been that way. I’m hopeful the coaches vote him in. That’s the ultimate respect. Opposing teams have to game plan against him. You have to spend a good deal of time in shootarounds and film sessions developing some kind of specific plan for him.
"In January, he’s been the most trapped player on pick and rolls. That’s a sign of great respect, his off-ball movement, all of those things have really improved. I think it will happen. I do. His play has been that consistent.”
Herro was not selected to be a starter but is expected to be among the reserves slated to be announced on Thursday. Spoelstra believed that his guard would be a lock to make the cut. Tyler Herro averages 24.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.2 assists.
