Zion Williamson is set to lead the New Orleans Pelicans against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday. The star forward is not listed on the team’s injury report and is poised to play his second game since returning from injury.

Williamson made his much-anticipated return during the Pelicans' 104-97 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday. The two-time All-Star was back in action after missing 27 consecutive games due to a left hamstring strain.

In his comeback game, the former Duke standout delivered a stellar performance, highlighted by a spectacular breakaway 360 dunk. Williamson finished with 22 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block in 28 minutes, shooting 9 of 15 from the field, including 0 of 2 from beyond the arc.

After his return, Williamson was rested for Wednesday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers as the Pelicans were on the second night of a back-to-back. The team opted to manage his workload carefully following his extended absence.

Zion Williamson expressed confidence in his health following his lengthy rehabilitation process. Speaking after the game against the Timberwolves, the dominant forward shared his thoughts:

"I definitely feel like my legs are already under me."

Basketball fans were eager to see a showdown between Zion Williamson and former league MVP Joel Embiid, but that won’t happen on Friday. Embiid has been ruled out of the game against the Pelicans due to a left foot sprain.
