It's an unfortunate time for Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic. During their Christmas Day matchup versus the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, Doncic suffered a Grade 2 left calf strain, forcing him to miss roughly the next 15 games.

To add insult to injury, Doncic's home was burglarized on Friday while the MVP candidate was in Phoenix with his team.

Luka Doncic joins list of professional athletes to have homes burglarized

Home burglaries are a growing problem among professional athletes. Luka Doncic is the latest one to have his home broken into, joining a list of other NBA and NFL players.

Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce's respective homes were broken into back in October. One month prior, in September, Minnesota Timberwolves star Mike Conley's home was burglarized while he was attending a Minnesota Vikings game, showing support within his community.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis' home was broken into in November, which prompted him to offer a $40,000 reward for additional information.

More recently, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow's home was broken into on Dec. 9 while Burrow was on the road, taking on the Dallas Cowboys in Texas.
