Some have considered NBA legend Allen Iverson to be one of the greatest pound-for-pound players in the game. Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas was quick to praise Iverson's ability as well.
Throughout his illustrious career, Allen Iverson was one of the league's top superstars. An eleven-time All-Star and four-time scoring champion, Iverson was a nightmare for defenders on the court. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016.
Given his physical frame, it made his accomplishments even more impressive. Iverson was listed at 6'0", 165 pounds but played the game like a giant. He was fearless when attacking the basket and a dangerous scoring threat from all over the court.

During a recent appearance on "Vlad TV," Gilbert Arenas spoke about what made Iverson such a special player. Arenas explained that Iverson played with so much energy, which paired well with his incredible talent.

“You're talking about a guy who is going to come at you 1000% all the time. It's like he had the white boy energy, the black man skill.”
Arenas was asked if he believed that Iverson was one of the greatest ringless players of all time. After contemplating other players in the conversation, Arenas agreed with the assessment.
"As far as an individual, yes he would probably be the greatest."

Allen Iverson was selected first overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the historic 1996 NBA Draft. He topped one of the most impressive draft classes in NBA history, and still lived up to the hype.
During the 1996-97 season, Iverson became a star while being named the NBA's rookie of the year. He averaged 23.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 2.1 steals.
Iverson averaged more than 20 points per game in each of his first 12 seasons. He also won the NBA MVP award in 2001. The superstar guard averaged 31.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 steals during the 2000-01 campaign.
The NBA may never see a talent like Iverson again. He was fearless despite his physical limitations. One of the most dangerous offensive creators the game has seen, Iverson will go down as one of the top guards in NBA history.
Iverson averaged 26.7 points, 6.2 assists and 2.2 steals in 914 career games. He came within three wins of capturing an NBA championship in 2001.
