LeBron James has played at a high level in the NBA for longer than anybody else. We saw Kareem Abdul-Jabbar be a factor for over two decades, but he wasn't putting MVP-level numbers in his final season.

Vince Carter was also in the league for two decades, but he came off the bench and didn't even play at times during the end of his career. James, on the other hand, is playing 35 minutes a night for the Los Angeles Lakers.

As good as James' numbers have been lately, it seems like Father Time is finally catching up with him. That's why Jeff Teague believes this might be his final season in the league.

"To me, I ain't gonna lie, I think [LeBron James] might retire after this year," Teague said on the Club 520 Podcast. "I think he probably got a documentary going right now. He got Bronny in the league and now it's time to move on."

James became the first NBA player to share the court with his son, so this might in fact be time to call it quits. He's already set countless records, including the most points scored in NBA history.

Jeff Teague lauded LeBron James' basketball IQ

This isn't the first time Teague has addressed James' career. Back in September, he gushed about James' basketball mind, telling the story of how he picked apart the Atlanta Hawks defense.

"At the All-Star Game, [LeBron] told me -- we swept them in the regular season," Teague started. "Beat them by 25 every game. He came to me, he was like: 'I figured y'all out.' I said: You figured us out? Man, all he did was run the 3-1 pick and roll. He'd bring me up there, set it, I'll hedge. Set it again, I'll hedge again. Set it again, eventually I gotta switch. Back me down, get to the free throw line, shoot over me. If somebody helps, throw it to J.R. Smith: Three. Throw it to Kevin Love: Three. I was like, 'Yeah, it's over. He figured us out. Ain't no way I can guard [expletive] Bron."

James will likely go down as one of the most intelligent and accomplished players in basketball history. And while averaging 22 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists per game would be a career year for most NBA players, the fact that people are talking about him slowing down with those numbers speaks volumes about his greatness.
