Draya Michele defends relationship with younger Jalen Green
Draya Michele and Jalen Green have been steadily growing their relationship since going public in August last year. They, however, have their share of critics over the 17-year age gap between her and her boyfriend. The bond between Jalen Green and Michele further solidified with the birth of their first child, a daughter, back in May.
The 39-year-old media personality, actor and fashion designer defended her relationship with Green, 22, in a chance conversation with TMZ back in June. She highlighted how it was continuously evolving and that the opinions of others did not matter to them.
"I don't know what people's problem is." Michele said. "Two adults being in love, I don't know why that would rub people the wrong way. It's kind of weird. Love is love at the end of the day."
Green is now in his fourth campaign in Houston, where he has become a key piece in the steadily ascending Rockets. He signed a three-year, $106-million rookie contract extension with the team in October and is having a solid campaign with averages of 19.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and one steal for the 21-9 Rockets.
