Los Angeles Clippers star James Harden's girlfriend, Paije Speights, shared a story on Instagram on Thursday. The cryptic text thread hinted at the couple possibly tying the knot less than a year after they made their relationship public.
Sharing a screenshot of a message sent by Harden, the fashion designer teased the couple's long-term plans. With their relationship coming to light in May, the pair already seem to be moving forward quickly as suggested by the text.
In the image shared by Paije, she can be seen asking the Clippers star his whereabouts, to which he replies by calling Speights his spouse:
"Coming to my wife" Harden writes as Paije reacted to the message with a loved emoji.

This isn't the first time the duo has hinted at marrying one another. In a quote Paije posted on her story in September, she expressed her desire to no longer speak to any other man:
"I cant wait to be married & never have to talk to another man ever again"
Paije added a caption of her own, explaining how she already followed this doctrine:
"I already don't," she wrote.
The couple's relationship came into the public eye after James Harden posted a story about the Michigan-born designer earlier this year. Paije has formerly dated ex-Miami Heat star Mario Chalmers and shares a 4-year-old son with him.
James Harden mocked after Paije caught the bouquet at Rajon Rondo's wedding
James Harden and Paije Speights were in attendance during Rajon Rondo's wedding with longtime girlfriend Latoia Fitzgerald at Lake Como in Italy. Harden and his girlfriend stood out during the celebrations as Paije caught the bride's bouquet during the ceremony.
Paije posted about this incident in a story on Instagram, explaining how she wasn't even participating in the activity but somehow managed to get lucky:
"I wasn't even participating lol I'm standing outside the circle in the back. The bouquet landed right at my feet. Hey a win is a win." she wrote.
Harden appeared wide-eyed by the entire fiasco, as traditionally, the person who catches the bride's bouquet is considered the next to be wedded. ESPN broadcaster Alan Hahn humorously commented on James Harden's reaction, which quickly became a meme on X (formerly Twitter):
"He clearly froze in the moment like he tends to do. But one thing you've got to watch for though is how's he going to give her a ring?" he stated jokingly.
Although he did freeze in the moment, the relationship appears to be progressing smoothly for the pair. Their recent interactions on social media suggest that they are considering tying the knot in the future.
