Jared McCain, a projected first-round pick in Wednesday night's NBA draft, already won some fans with his roast of former player Richard Jefferson. The young player sat with the 2016 NBA champion, Kendrick Perkins and Cassidy Hubbarth to have a little chat ahead of the big night.
McCain wasn't shy and roasted Jefferson after Hubbarth asked him for advice for the retired sharpshooter to grow his fanbase on TikTok. Perkins also wanted to know some tricks, but McCain was focused on Jefferson.
"You know, for you, I would say, I think hair is really a big thing on TikTok," McCain said while Perkins and Hubbarth laughed. "Having these hair molecules is one of those things you have to have. I don't really know how to go from there. You just have to have hair."
RJ didn't stay quiet and responded to McCain, who he previously acknowledged being a hater of.

"I was trying to like you for a while, and that's how we're going to end the conversation," he said before shaking McCain's hand and showing his support to him (Timestamp: 4:45). "I'm happy for you, man."
Jefferson has been trolled due to his bald head more than once, and now even NBA prospects are coming at him. He took the situation with humor and also took some jabs at McCain, especially focusing on his time with Duke.
Where could Jared McCain play in the NBA?
We're still a couple of hours away from learning where Jared McCain will land in the NBA. The guard spent a single season at Duke, averaging 14.3 points per game. It's unclear where he could land, but his name could be called between the 14th and 17th pick.
McCain needs to prove that he can play at the highest level as a point guard and, as usual, the team that drafts him will have a crucial role in his early development. He's one of the players invited to the Green Room for the 2024 NBA draft alongside projected top five picks like Matas Buzelis and Alex Sarr.
Analyst Gary Parrish projects Jared McCain to go to the Lakers in his latest mock draft, explaining that his 3-point shooting ability can be an important factor for the Purple and Gold, especially in the post-LeBron James era at Crypto.com Arena.
This is an intriguing prospect but his fate will be decided at the last moment.
