Jayson Tatum's son Deuce has become quite the internet celebrity over the years. Deuce, who grew up in the spotlight, has become an outgoing character and a fixture of the Boston Celtics' recent playoff run. Deuce, like Riley Curry before him, has become a fan-favorite 'personality.'

With that being said, however, that doesn't mean Deuce likes all the attention that comes with his dad's fame. When the pair are out, fans will clamor for photos from Tatum, much to the dismay of his son, who feels protective of his dad. Although he understands his dad is a famous basketball player, he isn't ready to give up one on one time.

So, what does Jayson Tatum, one of the league's best players today, do? He simply does not pose for photos with fans while out with his son because he wants his son to know that he is his top priority. Talk about a candidate for father of the year. He discussed his close relationship with his son and why Deuce is his top priority regardless of his fame, saying:

"He doesn't fully understand. He knows Dad plays basketball and that everybody knows who his dad is. He doesn't necessarily like when people ask me for pictures when we're out. He gets, like, overprotective because he feels like people are taking the time away from him."

He continued, saying:

"So I don't really take pictures and stuff when I'm with him, because I know he doesn't really like that. When we're together, he wants the attention."

The comments came during a recent interview with the Boston Globe, during which Tatum spoke about a wide variety of topics. You can also see some of his best moments with his son in the video below.

Tatum's son was born in 2017 and has continued to become a fixture of Boston Celtics games while growing up. Just recently, after the team had their nine-game winning streak snapped by the Chicago Bulls, Deuce was seen getting some punches off Javonte Green. Green and Tatum, who played together in Boston, reportedly became pretty good friends during their time in the locker room together.

It was the latest example of Deuce stealing the spotlight from his dad. The clip quickly made the rounds on social media, with the conversation between Green and Tatum taking a backseat to Deuce playfully beating up the Bulls forward.

Although the team recently had their nine-game win streak snapped by the Chicago Bulls, they currently sit atop the Eastern Conference. With a record of 13-4 this season, the team is narrowly ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference standings.

Based on the numbers, right now the Celtics have the easiest remaining schedule in the NBA. On Wednesday night, they will look to bounce back from the defeat to the Bulls when they host the Dallas Mavericks.
