Jayson Tatum's tattoo artist is seemingly not happy with soccer player Ismail Jakobs for copying the Boston Celtics superstar's back ink. Tatum has a bunch of tattoos on his body, and his most popular one is the "God's Will" art on his back with Jesus Christ nailed to the cross.
In a story on his official Instagram account, tattoo artist Steve Weibe expressed disbelief at Jakobs copying Tatum's back ink. It has ignited some controversy considering the tattoo was an original and other tattoo artists "copying" other artwork is frowned upon.
"Bar for bar is crazy," Weibe wrote.

Jayson Tatum was initially panned by fans for his "God's Will" tattoo because it was missing an apostrophe. Tatum had it corrected later. He also had a "Proverbs 3: 5-6" under the two-word ink. Here's the particular bible verse:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Tatum's faith was instilled by his grandmother and mother growing up. He even has the words "In Jesus Name I play" in his Instagram bio, as well as on his wrist.
"That's something that has stuck with me for a long time. I even got it tattooed on my wrist. From a young age, my grandmother was the first one to always remind me how blessed I am to be in this position and the talents that I have. And to make sure that everything you do, you do it for Jesus," Tatum said. [H/T Sport and Faith]
As for Ismail Jacobs, the Monaco winger has not commented on the issue. It's unclear if Jacobs or his tattoo artist will release a statement to clarify Steve Weibe's
Jayson Tatum predicted to go on a revenge tour next season
One of the most controversial issues from Team USA's gold medal win at the 2024 Paris Olympics was Jayson Tatum's limited minutes. Tatum was coming off his first NBA championship, so many of his fans were unhappy with coach Steve Kerr's treatment of the Boston Celtics star.
Former NBA player Jeff Teague recently said on his "Club 520" podcast that Tatum, as well as Jaylen Brown, will be on a revenge tour next season. Teague believes the Celtics are going to be a dynasty after their stars' Olympics experience.
"They just ruined everything for the NBA now, the USA team did. 'Cause now they just built a dynasty. You already told Jaylen Brown he wasn't elite, so he already on a revenge tour, right? ... And now you telling Jayson Tatum he the worst player out of all the elites, pretty much. 'All the top players in the league on the Olympic team and you telling me I'm the worst one? I'm on that,'" Teague said.
There have not been back-to-back NBA champs since the Kevin Durant-led Golden State Warriors in 2017 and 2018. Teague has backed the Celtics to emulate that legacy.
