Jayson Tatum doesn't want his duo with Jaylen Brown to be compared to Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen: “Last year y’all wanted to trade one of us"

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown - Boston Celtics vs Phoenix Suns

Jayson Tatum recently expressed his feelings about how he and Jaylen Brown are being compared with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.

Tatum reminded everyone how funny it was that people wanted the Boston Celtics to trade one of them. Now, all of a sudden, the basketball world is comparing the Celtics duo with the Chicago Bulls legends.

As flattering as that sounds, Tatum is humble enough to admit that the duo is nowhere close to the level of the six-time NBA champions. However, the Celtics star said that he and Brown are way better than how people saw them in the past.

“Last year y’all wanted to trade one of us," Tatum said. "Now you’re saying Mike and Scottie. We’re not as bad as you said, but we’re not as good as Mike and Scottie.”

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum will hope to stay injury-free during the season, otherwise it could shift the team's momentum and affect their morale.
