Dating back to the end of last season, Jimmy Butler's relationship with Pat Riley has been rocky at best. As the All-Star forward awaits a trade, he seems to have taken an indirect shot at the Miami Heat executive.

At the moment, Butler is serving a seven-game suspension that was given to him by the Heat organization. While away from the team, he seems to be spending a lot of time at his "Bigface Coffee Shop" store that opened at the beginning of December.

In a clip that is going around on social media, Jimmy Butler is seen uplifting one of the baristas in the store. The comments he makes have many wondering if he's taking a dig at Riley.

"See that, I gave you a compliment," Butler said. "That's what bosses do. We build you up, we don't bring you down."

Over the past few weeks, Butler has made it clear he would like his time in Miami to come to an end. The two sides have had a growing disconnect since failed contract extension negotiations over the summer. Now, the Heat forward is aiming for a trade before the February 6th deadline.

Butler currently has three more games to serve on his suspension before he can rejoin the team.

Kendrick Perkins says Phoenix Suns have sizable contract offer ready for Jimmy Butler

Throughout the Jimmy Butler saga, there have been numerous teams connected to him. However, the team most consistently reported to have an interest in him is the Phoenix Suns. New developments suggest that the team already has a contract offer ready if they're able to acquire him.

On Thursday, former NBA champion turned analyst Kendrick Perkins was a guest on the Road Trippin podcast. During his appearance, he relayed some information regarding the Butler trade saga. Perkins cited that not only are the Suns interested, but they are prepared to offer him a $120+ million contract.

"From my sources they're telling me that the Suns have a two-year, $121 million extension waiting on Jimmy," Perkins said. "Kevin Durant want Jimmy Butler."

The Suns are reportedly among Butler's preferred destinations, but acquiring him could get tricky. If Phoenix were to engage in negotiations, Bradley Beal would have to be the main piece going for the Suns. This is where things get tricky because the former All-Star has a no-trade clause in his contract.

With a little less than a month to go until the deadline, the two teams have time to work out this would-be blockbuster. However, recent reporting suggests that Beal has no plans on waiving his no-trade clause. This creates a massive uphill battle for the Suns in their reported pursuit of Butler.
