After a tough loss in the 2021-22 NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics have been out for revenge this season. Despite their impressive play, analyst JJ Redick isn't convinced the Celtics have the most at stake this year.
Boston (24-10) has been brilliant to start the season. They currently lead the Eastern Conference standings. After going 1-5 in a season-worst stretch of disappointing performances, Boston has won its last two games.
Their most recent victory was an impressive one, as the Celtics defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 139-118 on Sunday. Boston looks to be a force moving forward. The Celtics have shown the desire to respond after a disappointing loss to the Golden State Warriors in June's NBA Finals.
However, on "First Things First," ESPN analyst JJ Redick hinted that he doesn't believe the Celtics have the most "at stake" this year.

“Legacy is something that we talk about all the time," Redick said. "That’s always at stake."
Redick said he believes the Celtics still have a bright future even if they don't win a title this year. He pointed out that with the Celtics' youth around Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, Boston is in a good position moving forward. That's until Redick brings up that a number of different teams have more at stake this season than the Celtics.
"I can think of four teams off the top of my head – four teams, (Kendrick) Perk(ins) – that have more at stake this season than the Boston Celtics," Redick said.
Redick brought up the Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors, and the Phoenix Suns. He went into depth with each team about how age and future contract situations play a big role with those teams.
Boston Celtics respond with an impressive win over Milwaukee Bucks
The Boston Celtics responded in a big way with their impressive 125-98 victory on Sunday over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Boston has been one of the league's top teams throughout the season. After an eye-opening 125-98 win against the Phoenix Suns on Dec. 7, Boston went through a rough patch. Boston won just one of its following six games. That included a three-game home stretch that saw the Celtics lose a pair of games to the Orlando Magic.
Boston will now look to use that momentum from the victory against Milwaukee for the rest of their homestand. They will face the Houston Rockets (9-23) on Tuesday before welcoming the LA Clippers (19-15) on Thursday. From there, the Celtics will hit the road for a four-game road trip.
