Joel Embiid is watching the NBA Finals at home after the Philadelphia 76ers failed to make it out of the first round. Embiid was in a trolling mood in Game 3 and poked fun at the Milwaukee Bucks. The former MVP questioned if the Bucks are responsible for giving the Boston Celtics their 18th NBA championship.
With the Celtics up big in the third quarter, Embiid asked a very important question to his followers on X.
"Did the Bucks give them the championship?" Embiid wrote.

Joel Embiid was alluding to Jrue Holiday being a key cog in the Boston Celtics' run to the NBA Finals. Holiday has been fantastic for the Celtics on both sides of the floor and even has a legitimate shot at becoming NBA Finals MVP if Boston lifts their 18th banner.
The Celtics acquired Holiday from the Portland Trail Blazers this past offseason. But why was the defensive stalwart suddenly in Portland last summer? Well, the Milwaukee Bucks traded him to the Blazers as part of the Damian Lillard deal that shook the league.
However, it seems like the Holiday trade to the Celtics will be more impactful than the Lillard one. The 34-year-old guard could be one of the reasons for Boston's title, while Lillard didn't make it past the first round.
Milwaukee can still turn things around next season, with head coach Doc Rivers having an offseason to prepare for the job. However, the window should be not that wide open for them with an aging roster outside of Giannis Antetokounmpo.
As for Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers, they will need to sign Tyrese Maxey to a new contract. They have also been linked to Paul George and LeBron James, who will likely become unrestricted free agents this summer.
Sixers to continue building around Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey
The Philadelphia 76ers are entering a very important offseason after a very disappointing end in this year's playoffs. The Sixers will need to sign Tyrese Maxey to an extension while trying to keep Joel Embiid as healthy as possible.
They will also have to build a good roster so that they can contend in the Eastern Conference next season. Sixers head coach Nick Nurse told Colin Cowherd of The Herd that the franchise is committed to making both Embiid and Maxey the cornerstones of a championship team.
"I think we got two great guys to build around. Finding the right pieces that are going to be able to space and shoot, defend and rebound, have some IQ, have some late-game moxie and guts and the things that it takes is really the key for us to get to where we want to go," Nurse said.
