Nikola Jokic is having another great season for the Denver Nuggets, which prompted Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett to make a bold statement. Garnett compared "The Joker" with the legendary Wilt Chamberlain, who dominated the NBA for most of his career.
On his KG Certified podcast, Garnett and Boston Celtics teammate Paul Pierce discussed the season Jokic is having. They were amazed that the Nuggets big man is in the top five in points, rebounds, assists, steals per game and 3-point percentage.
"Joker is Wilt," Garnett said. "Joker is doing Wilt-like sh*t bro, no athleticism really. Slow rolling, going at his own pace. It's not a miracle, but if you watch it, he's efficient, he's prolific, he's constant."

It was an unusual comparison, given the physical differences between Nikola Jokic and Wilt Chamberlain. However, they were both so dominant that some might not believe that what they were doing was unreal. Chamberlain still owns a lot of records that might never get broken.
Jokic, meanwhile, is doing historic things in his own way this season. He's having another MVP-caliber year that's better than his MVP-winning campaigns. And to top it all off, the Denver Nuggets are in the top four of the Western Conference despite the perceived lack of help from their front office.
The three-time MVP is averaging 29.9 points, 13.1 rebounds, 10.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game. He's shooting 56.6% from the field, including 47.9% from beyond the arc and 81.0% from the free throw line.
For what it's worth, "The Joker" could become the first player in NBA history to average 30-10-10 with shooting splits of 50/40/80.
It will be interesting to see if Nikola Jokic can sustain his production for the rest of the season. Jokic is not the favorite to win the NBA MVP award due to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's phenomenal campaign for the OKC Thunder.
Nikola Jokic comments on his historic season
Speaking to reporters after his magnificent night on Thursday against the Sacramento Kings, Nikola Jokic commented on the historic season he was having. Jokic admitted that he's feeling great and having the best year of his career.
"I think this is the best basketball of my life," Jokic said, according to CBS Sports. "I'm feeling good out there. I'm in shape. The ball is going in. ... I think I can influence the game on different levels."
For those unaware, Jokic is the first player since Wilt Chamberlain to have a 30-20-15 game on Thursday. He finished the 132-123 win over the Kings with 35 points, 22 rebounds and 17 assists.
