Jonathan Kuminga sustained an ankle injury on Saturday when the Golden State Warriors took on the Memphis Grizzlies. After 15 minutes of play, Kuminga went back to the locker room after spraining his right ankle. According to sources, the Warriors forward will be re-evaluated in three weeks, which means that's how long he'll be out of action.

Despite Kuminga making an early exit, the Warriors notched a 121-113 victory over the Grizzlies. The timing of Kuminga's injury is disheartening, especially now that Golden State is somehow back on track in the Western Conference's standings. The Warriors are in eighth place with an 18-16 record after their victory on Saturday.

Jonathan Kuminga opened up about his injury in a locker room interview with the media. He lowkey expressed his frustration on not being able to play, especially now that his team has been on a roll as of late.

“I just don’t want to be off," Kuminga said. "I want to be playing. I feel like our team had started taking off in the right direction and I'd love to just be out there.”

Warriors vs Grizzlies recap: Golden State wins despite Jonathan Kuminga's early exit

The Golden State Warriors took on the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night. Heading to the game, the Warriors were without their ace player Steph Curry, while the Grizzlies also missed Ja Morant. With that coming into play, it seemed like it was going to be an even matchup. However, the tides changed when Jonathan Kuminga got hurt after 15 minutes of play.

He finished with 13 points, two assists and two rebounds. With one of the Warriors' scorers out of action, it seemed like the Grizzlies had the upper hand. Fortunately, Andrew Wiggins came to the Dubs' aid and led his team to a 121-113 victory.

Wiggins provided on both ends of the court. He added 24 points and four steals to match the duo of Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane. Dennis Schroder also stepped up to the occasion, nearly coming up with a double-double performance adding 17 points and nine assists.

With Jonathan Kuminga out of action for approximately three weeks, the Golden State Warriors need to figure out who'll fill in for the shoes of the slashing forward during his absence.
