Jonathan Kuminga's name has been at the center of trade rumors ever since he chose not to sign an extension with the Warriors during the offseason. With the team looking to make roster upgrades and capitalize on the remaining years of Steph Curry’s prime, the front office is under pressure to maximize their championship window as Curry approaches the twilight of his career.
This has fueled speculation that the Warriors could build a trade package around Kuminga, given his current contract situation, to acquire a star player and strengthen their roster for another title push.
Jonathan Kuminga was playing extremely well before injury
Jonathan Kuminga's injury couldn’t have come at a worse time for both him and the Golden State Warriors. The rising star had been playing the best basketball of his career, making a significant impact on both ends of the floor while thriving in his role off the bench.
