Some of the practice facility, some of the arena, some are in Australia back home. So my collection is pretty big and sometimes a little too big because it takes up quite a lot of room in my house."

The unusual story of rookie Josh Giddey getting his hands on multiple pairs of Kobe Bryant's Nike shoes
Josh Giddey was selected 6th overall by the OKC Thunder in the 2021 NBA Draft. According to a story by ESPN's Brian Windhorst, before the start of the 2021-22 NBA season, the Thunder's equipment manager Wilson Taylor was going through the laundry room of the Paycom Center. He accidentally had his hands on several black and gold color boxes covered with dust.
Taylor had come across several unused Nike Kobe 8 System TB in 13.5 sizes. According to Windhorst, Taylor knew who he had to message to score big; Josh Giddey. Taylor knew that Giddey was a big Kobe Bryant fan and would be thrilled to have a few pairs for any proposed amount.
The ESPN senior writer wrote that Taylor clicked some pictures of the shoes and sent them to Giddey.
"No way!" Giddey wrote back. "Can I come right now?"
Giddey came to the laundry room within 15 minutes and lunged on the boxes. Within seconds he was opening the boxes and going across shoes with amazement just like any other kid.
These were the five pairs of orange-and-white Thunder-color Kobes that were sent for Derek Fisher, who played his last two seasons 2012-13 and 2013-14 with the Thunder and was Kobe Bryant's teammate in Los Angeles for 13 years.
Josh Giddey asked Taylor if he could have them all and he got them. According to Yahoo Sports, Giddey spent over $1500 on those pairs.
