Over the weekend, New York Knicks starter Josh Hart controversially tweeted about the Spurs. Given that he and the New York Knicks are preparing to play against the San Antonio Spurs on Christmas Day, many fans thought the post had something to do with Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs.
As it turns out, that wasn't the case. Speaking to media members on Monday after the Knicks' 139–125 win over the Toronto Raptors, Hart was asked about his post, which included a bunch of poop emojis.
Hart replied that the post about the Spurs being equivalent to dung had nothing to do with the Knicks' Christmas Day clash against Victor Wembanyama's Spurs.
“I wasn’t talking about those (Victor Wembanyama's) Spurs, Hart said. "The Spurs I was talking about are trash. Tottenham, the North London ones. They are trash.”

Hart's post came amid Tottenham's 6–3 loss at home to Liverpool FC. After going down 4–1 in the first half, Tottenham conceded a fifth goal in the 54th minute, which sparked Hart's post on social media.
Looking at Josh Hart's football fandom over the years in the wake of latest post about Tottenham
While Josh Hart's post over the weekend about the Spurs sucking sparked plenty of reactions from the NBA community, this isn't the first time that the NBA vet has taken to social media to weigh in on the latest happenings in football.
Hart has also clarified that he's a pretty big Chelsea FC fan. Apart from being seen in photos wearing Chelsea gear over the years, Hart's been seen decked out in Chelsea gear on social media.
In 2020, he and his fianceé, now his wife, vacationed at Stamford Bridge to watch a derby for Valentine's Day.
Hart is friends with Chelsea players such as Mason Mount, whom he was photographed with in May 2022 at a home derby for the club before Mount left for Manchester United.
Of course, like every fan, Hart has also shared his thoughts on how Chelsea has handled transfers and the state of the Premiere League. This past summer, the Knicks starter reacted to transfer talks on X.
Hart and the Knicks will have a chance to get a win over the "other Spurs" on Wednesday when the team faces Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.
