Josh Hart drops 4-word reaction on Pat McAfee's co-host's "busting nut" comment for Ohio State superfan

Josh Hart made sure a funny clip about the broadcast of a college football game would not be unnoticed. In a post on X, the New York Knicks guard reacted to Pat McAfee’s co-host’s quip on an Ohio State superfan as his team was dominating Tennesee on Saturday night.

Hart reposted the video, which saw Boston Connor, a co-host in "The Pat McAfee Show," discussing a superfan called “Big Nut” who they said was “busting his nut” in front of Tennessee fans as they led 21-0 during the game.

“Terrible, I’m actually starting to feel bad for some of them. And the worst thing part is, Big Nut, A.K.A. Slim Nut, is busting his nut all over their faces. Because he is partying in front of them right now,” he said.

“Yeah, anytime a nut goes wild, things go crazy,” McAfee replied.

Connor was having fun throughout the broadcast as he tried to inject some energy into what was otherwise a lopsided game. Hart, who is also known for his entertaining behavior on the basketball court, wrote a four-word reaction to the clip.

“I BEG YOUR PARDON?!"

Hart, a Villanova product, has been an avid watcher of other sports, supporting the New York Yankees among other sports teams. He is also a gamer, as he has a Twitch channel where he often streams Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Hart is playing his eighth season in the NBA and is averaging 14.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game as a do-it-all guard for the Knicks.

The New York Knicks retooled their squad for the 2024-2025 NBA season, adding All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges. At the start of the season, Hart, in an interview with Stefan Bondy of the New York Post, expressed uncertainty about how he would fit with the new players in the lineup.

“I’m lost. I have no idea…There’s a couple days before we have until Boston. So whether that’s trying to get a rhythm with that starting unit or we give somebody else a look and my role changes and comes off the bench and go with that unit,” Hart said.

"So just trying to figure out right now I pretty much have no idea. But we’ll see what happens."

However, Hart remains one of the most used players in Knicks’ head coach Tom Thibideau's rotation. Hart is playing 36.8 minutes per game and has started in all of their games so far as his role remains, just like last year.

The Knicks currently boast an 18-10 record, good for the third spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
