It's no secret that Josh Hart is a huge fan of the Washington Commanders NFL team. On Sunday, he and his fellow Washington supporters had a pretty good reason to revel all over social media.
Fresh off the Commanders' thrilling 30-24 win over the Atlanta Falcons in overtime, the New York Knicks' resident workhorse had but one word to say on X:
"COMMANDERS!!!!!" Hart exclaimed.

Hart, who was born in Maryland, frequently posts about his support for the Commanders, who clinched a spot in the 2025 NFL playoffs with their win over Atlanta.
Hart's support for the Commanders (a team valued at $6,300,000,000 according to Forbes) led him to engage in playful banter with his teammates Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, both fans of the Philadelphia Eagles, last Sunday.
"We aren't friends nor teammates today. We are just coworkers," said Hart in a post that tagged both Brunson and Towns. "I don't like yall, yall don't like me."
As the Commanders-Eagles game progressed, Hart and Brunson went back and forth with GIFs and phone call attempts, presumably to exchange trash talk as their favorite NFL teams went at it.
Hart ended up getting the last laugh over his Villanova and New York running mate as the Commanders clawed back from a deficit and overcame the Eagles 36-33.
Hart's Commanders are currently the No. 6 seed in the NFC, but if they fall to No. 7, they would face the No. 2-seed Eagles again in the first round of the playoffs.
Josh Hart drops a hip-hop reference after the Commanders-Falcons game
Hart has been extremely active on social media over the past few games of the Commanders. Aside from his provocation of Brunson and Towns this past weekend, he appeared to drop a 90s hip-hop reference as he celebrated Washington's victory over Atlanta.
"I GOT 5 ON IT!" wrote Hart in all caps.
Though the song "I Got 5 on It" by West Coast duo Luniz has some other connotations, Hart likely used this popular phrase to refer to a bet that he'd placed on his favorite team.
Some netizens picked up on the meaning of Hart's words and responded accordingly:
"Dude you should be betting more than $5 on a football game with your type of money," commented one netizen.
As the Commanders enter the NFL Playoffs as a Wild Card, Hart has many more supportive Tweets to post.
