The New York Knicks have a situation unlike any other team in the NBA. A number of their best players know each other from college, even winning national championships at Villanova.
That's why there's plenty of camaraderie inside of the locker room. As such, it's normal to see some of them mess around and poke fun at each other every now and then. That's particularly true for Josh Hart.
Hart has made a name for himself for his hustle on both ends of the floor, but also because of his playful nature, out-of-pocket comments, and not taking himself or anybody else too seriously.
Notably, that was on full display again after the Knicks rallied to beat the Toronto Raptors on Monday. Following the win, Hart had a hilarious choice of words to talk about Jalen Brunson's alleged desire to guard Gradey Dick:

“Second half, Jalen Brunson kept saying, I want (Gradey) Dick. I’ll take Dick,” Hart said.
Of course, it didn't take long before Brunson debunked that story:
“He’s lying on my name,” the point guard said.
Needless to say, this isn't the first time -- and it definitely won't be the last -- that someone uses the Raptors' guard name to make a pun or a double entendre, as even he himself has laughed about it in the past.
Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson have different views on the NBA Cup's prize money
Josh Hart and Brunson have developed a strong friendship off the court as well, even hosting a podcast named "Roommates Show with Jalen Brunson & Josh Hart" together. Even so, they're very different people, and as such, they have different views on potentially winning the NBA Emirates Cup and the money that would come with that:
“That’s found money, so I might buy a watch or something with it,” Hart told Stefan Bondy on December 4. “I’ve been wanting a new car. That’s found money so I’ll do something foolish with it.”
“It would mean a lot [to win]. It would mean a lot for us to get [to Las Vegas for the final] and do all that,” Brunson said. “You have guys on the team who may be on one-year contracts or two-way deals or whatever. And you get to go out there and try to win for them and it means a lot.”
Winners will get $514,971 each, so there are more than enough incentives to be at their best when they meet the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night for their quarter-final matchup.
